Senorio de Sarria Vinedo No. 7 Graciano Crianza 2008 750ml

Slightly wild edged, nervy, herby, funky notes weave in and out of the cherry and vanilla aromas. Very different and quite unusual yet not in any way exclusive or intimidating. It's boisterous and characterful with an attractive sweet and sour finish and decent length. 

Bodega de Sarria is located in the heart of Valdizarbe, covering a total area of 210 hectares. The vineyards are south facing and their altitude ranges from 394 to 539 metres above sea level. Average rainfall is 400 to 600 I/m2 per year. Vinedo No. 7 is made from Graciano grapes grown in Sarria's 50 year old vineyard plot no. 7. Grapes are hand harvested at optimum maturity in September-October. 

Fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel for 15 days, followed by malolactic fermentation and subsequent racking. The wine is matured for 3-6 months in 100% new French Allier oak casks. 

Ideal with casseroles, rice dishes and red meat. Or try with oriental sweet and sour flavours to complement those in the glass.
