A consistently excellent wine, Les Forts is at the forefront of that most noble Bordelaise tradition of exceptional second wines crafted with the same care and attention as the Grand Vin from vineyard to winery.
Sourced from plots closer to the Château itself and further from the water, Les Forts de Latour is a titanic wine in 2015. Awarded 94 points by Antonio Galloni (Vinous), a score for which many classified growths would kill, this expression is "silky, perfumed and wonderfully nuanced from the very first taste".
Released, as with the 2013 Grand Vin, just at the outset of its drinking window, this different type of "Super Second" will drink beautifully immediately or cellar most comfortable for at least another decade.
